Blue Choice^SM Networks Just Got Better

A Good Thing Just Got Better:  In 2022 NorthShore University Health System and Edward-Elmhurst Health merged to become NorthShore – Edward Elmhurst (NS-EEH). Effective immediately, the full NorthShore – Edward Elmhurst Health system is a tier 1 provider in our Blue Choice Options^SM tiered plan and an in-network provider in both Blue Choice Preferred^SM and Blue Choice Select^SM plans. 

What This Means for Members on Blue Choice Plans
Now, members can receive the highest level of plan benefits and pay the lowest out-of-pocket costs for their health care when they choose services with NS-EEH, including:

• Access to all nine NS-EEH Hospitals
• Evanston Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital, Highland Park Hospital, and Skokie Hospital are now in-network
• Edward Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital, Linden Oaks Behavioral Health, Northwest Community Hospital, and Swedish Hospital remain in-network
• Access to NS-EEH Medical Groups
• Doctors in NorthShore Medical Group are now in-network
• All previously in-network Medical Groups remain in-network
