We’re Reimaging Our Community Investment Strategy
Applies to all groups

This year, we're launching Blue ImpactSM, a grant program that will align five areas supporting our mission to expand access to care.

“For decades, our company has worked in close collaboration with local community organizations and partners, leveraging their knowledge, experience and talents to help support healthier communities,” says Clarita Santos, executive director, Corporate and Civic Partnerships.

Blue Impact will target social and economic factors that play a role in health and wellness. The program replaces Healthy Kids, Healthy Families® (HKHF).

The five new focus areas:

  1. Economic opportunity and stability: Addresses issues such as poverty, barriers to employment, providing good jobs and upskilling

  2. Nutrition: Supports efforts to decrease hunger and increase access to nutritional food

  3. Neighborhood and local assets: Focuses on affordable healthy housing, access to transportation and physical activity

  4. Locally defined health solutions: Addresses “hyperlocal” health and human service needs

  5. Optimal health outcomes: Helps close gaps in care, specifically in immunizations, diabetes care, cardiovascular care, behavioral health, early-detection cancer screening and maternal and infant health

A lasting impact: We began shifting our giving priorities with our 2022 HKHF grant program. The program has provided children and their families access to more than 26 million health and wellness services as of Dec. 31, 2021.
