New Logon to Access Summaries of Benefits and Coverage
Applies to Small Group and Mid-Market
What’s happening: To enhance security, the Summaries of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) Tool will transition to a single sign-on (SSO) in early Q2.
What you need to do: To prepare for the transition, we will disable the current, generic logon credentials for the SBC tool. Until the SSO transition takes effect, log in to the SBC tool from the Blue Access for ProducersSM (BAPSM) page.
Which SBC tool will be updated? The password change applies to the SBC tool you use for:
Mid-Market plans with effective dates before July 1, 2021
Small Group plans with effective dates before Jan. 1, 2021
Small Group grandfathered and transitional plans
Blue Balance FundedSM plans
What isn’t changing? There are no changes to the process you use to order SBCs for active:
Mid-Market plans with effective dates on and after July 1, 2021
Small Group plans with effective dates on and after Jan. 1, 2021
What you can expect: When the transition to single-sign on is complete, you will use your BAP login to access the SBC tool.
