BCBSIL HMO Network Updates

Applies to: Group and Retail Markets  

The following are changes to the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) HMO Illinois, BlueAdvantage HMO^SM and Blue Precision HMO^SM provider networks.

BCBSIL will notify affected HMO group administrators, employers, and group and retail members by mail of the following network changes. Please notify your accounts of these changes as appropriate and instruct members with questions to call Customer Service at the number on their member ID card.

• Innovative Physicians Associates (MG #166) will no longer participate in HMO Illinois, BlueAdvantage HMO or Blue Precision HMO effective Jan. 1, 2019.
• Current Innovative Physicians Associates members in HMO Illinois, BlueAdvantage HMO or Blue Precision HMO will need to select a new HMO medical group.
• BCBSIL is requesting that Innovative Physicians Associates members notify us of their medical group selection by Nov. 1, 2018. Member instructions are included in the notification letter to assist members in this process.
  
  
• Southwest Physicians Group LTD (MG #235) will move to DMG Health Partners (MG #082) effective Jan. 1, 2019.
  
  
• AMITA Health Medical Care Group (MG #240) will move to Amita Health Clinically Integrated Network (MG #197) effective Jan. 1, 2019.
  

Members in all groups will receive new member ID cards reflecting the changes.
